How to Study for the MCAT Reddit
Every time scores come out, we see a decent influx of guides, how I studied, how I got a 520+, etc. But I wanted to make a post specifically targeted to those who, like me, are frankly just lazy pieces of shit. Or maybe lazy isn’t even the right word. I’m talking about the folks who get distracted from studying because they hate studying and have always hated it.
This is not a specific guide of how I studied because I really just followed the guides people post here, so I don’t think I’d contribute much in that aspect. But I will be giving tips as to how to efficiently study if you’re constricted on time, and how to stay focused so you don’t waste that time. Perhaps this will also help you in school.
- Never passively study
- Test anything new you have studied.
- Keep the “Content Review Stage” as short as possible.
- Do practice questions timed, and do a lot of them.
- Review practice questions right after you do them.
How Long to Study for MCAT Reddit
Deciding whether I should do my retake in late Jan or late March (applying June 2018). To all the 515+ how many months/weeks did you study for? Should I give myself 4 months or 10 weeks? Took the exam last June and got a 507 (127/129/127/124) after about 3 weeks of studying.
I’m thinking I’ll study for 10 weeks about 15 hours a week including practice exams once every 2 weeks. Is this sufficient? Trying to get my score up to a 517ish. I’ll also be working ~30 hours a week and taking a few weekends off studying to relax.
When to Start Studying for MCAT Reddit
As a current HS Senior, I’ve been trying to start getting ready for the MCAT but when I look through practice questions and tests, almost everything looks foreign to me. So I have 2 questions
When did you guys start study for the MCAT/when would you suggest starting to study for the MCAT?
The absolute earliest you should take the MCAT is in the summer of your sophomore year. If that sounds like somewhat you want to do, we’d recommend you start studying in the spring. However, remember that your MCAT scores are valid at most institutions for three years after you take the test.
How did you Guys Get Started?
It’s important to offer regular compliments to help your relationship grow and stay strong. Mutual attraction is how relationships get started, but it takes work to make them last. If you want to learn how to offer little compliments to do some of that work, you can learn what to say and how to say it.
Conclusion
The process of smearing to medical school can seem to be one big numbers game. Tens of thousands of students smear each year, so it’s easy to touch like a little fish in a big pond. There are numerous mechanisms to a successful medical school application, but two specific aspects are often at the forefront of students’ minds—scholar grade point average (GPA) and MCAT score. Whether you plug your information into an online “Medical School Chance Predictor” any chance you get, or you plan to simply submit your application and hope for the best, the impact of these two factors on application acceptance is something to acknowledge.
