How to Plan a Fun Baby Shower

Baby showers are a great way to celebrate your growing family. They can be fun, exciting and very memorable. If you are planning on throwing a baby shower for someone, then there are some things that you will need to think about first:

Pick a Party Location

Make sure the location is easy to get to. If you want, you can go on a tour of the venue before booking. The venue should be accessible by public transport and close to parking if not offering parking spaces.

Some parents-to-be like to have their baby shower at their home or a friend’s house, so they don’t have to worry about booking venues and other logistical aspects of hosting a party. However, it does mean you need to find someone to host your party for free!

Baby Shower Games

It’s a given that you have to have some games for your guests to play when they arrive at the baby shower. It would be much better if you could plan on having enough players for each game, but sometimes you don’t get that luxury.

If you are planning baby shower games and are short of participants, it’s important not to panic. You can make up games that don’t require as many people or just add more rounds or tasks, so everyone has a chance to participate.

Have the Right Baby Shower Party Supplies

You’ll need plenty of food and drinks to help the party flow smoothly and for the guests to have a good time. For example, if you’re hosting a shower for an expectant mother who has her own home, ask her what she needs on hand before guests arrive. If your party location needs more room in their kitchen or fridge/freezer area, consider setting up a buffet table outside or in another part of their house where more options are available.

Send Baby Shower Invitations

The next thing you have to do is send out the invitations. You will want to send them out well in advance of the shower, usually about 6 weeks before the event. Make sure to include all of the details: date, time and location of your baby shower, as well as an RSVP card if you want people to respond by a certain date. If they’re invited by someone else and are not going themselves, they can still RSVP via email or text message (or call).

If a gift registry has been set up for your baby, definitely include this information on your invitation so people know where they should shop first! It’s also good form to ask guests who aren’t able to attend or not that they would like their gifts sent directly home after shower festivities end instead of having them brought over at some point during party day itself; this helps cut down on clutter afterward, too!

Planning a baby shower is a lot of fun! It’s a great way to get together with friends and family, celebrate your new little one, and have some good laughs. But it can also be stressful, especially if you need to figure out what sorts of things need to go into planning for one. You want everything to be perfect, after all!
